We then prepare the screen and choose a mesh coated with an emulsion that reacts to light. Next, the design is placed onto the mesh and then exposed to a bright UV light which hardens the emulsion. We then wash the emulsion off, leaving us with a stencil.
After we have our stencil, it’s loaded onto our printing board. Next, a durable squeegee is selected with a specific durometer. That squeegee is then used to transfer the ink through the screen and onto the t-shirt or garment. Only the image is transferred onto the t-shirt as the ink passes through the design of the stencil and not the remaining screen.
